House on the Cliff by Fran Silvestre Arquitetos

Authors of the house aimed to contain it in one level. Due to the steepness of the plot the most reasonable way to implement this idea was to apply a three-dimensional structure of reinforced concrete slabs and screens adapting to the plot’s topography. The house is made of concrete with the walls covered with stucco, what makes the house look absolutely bright white. Walls and pavements in the internal space maintain the same color palette as well as the gravel on the roof.  Rooms are situated on four levels due to the structure of the house that complies with regulations for this rocky area. The lowest level accommodates a swimming pool terrace. From this point external stairs lead to the higher level, providing an excellent view of the sea. The highest level features a living room, dining area, kitchen and bedrooms. 60 ft balcony also overlooks the sea and offers a magnificent landscape view of The Mediterranean Sea. Both exterior and interior design respect the traditional for this region architecture and underline the unity of all the parts of the residence.
