A family of five has commissioned this residence as a weekend house, located in the suburbs of São Paulo. It’s surrounded with an important Atlantic Forest reserve, so the aim of the architects was to adapt the house to the existing sloped terrain, laying it out in different levels. The car park is situated on the lowest level, from which shoots up onto the terrace a large staircase. It crosses the 1st floor with the living area and master suite. Childrens’ suites are also situated on the 1st floor that overhangs the stone base of the house. The sunscreen panels hide the bedrooms from onlookers and provide this spaces with privacy. The upper floor is the ‘heart’ of the house as its large windows overlook the sea and beach, that are within easy reach of the house.
